Country Manager

Job Description : COUNTRY MANAGER MALAYSIA FOR AUTO In this business critical role, you will oversee the sales budget, develop go-to-market strategies, comprehensively evaluate the potential and current distributors and new channel opportunities. Evaluate the current distributors in the Malaysia market, identify opportunities for improvement in the distribution strategy, in line with the five-year growth plans Liaise with the distributors to establish the annual budget to be in line with the mid-term plans Manage evaluation, selection/termination, on/offboarding of distributors in a smooth and proactive manner Identify key partnership/channels (e.g. with local dealers, regional distributors) that could be further leveraged, in the short and long term to support the regional growth vision Analyse market data and distributor sell-through to study trends and set growth targets for the distribution in each region to increase the market share Formulate and improve the business plans and objectives to the distributors with respect to the markets Work with marketing to roll out and translate group brand, communications and digital vision for the export market; localising for customers as required, while ensuring consistency with the corporate guidelines Lead by example, and be willing to support, assist any functions at any given point of time, regardless of seniority To succeed in this Country Manager, Automotive Dealer Management role, you must have prior experience in distributor management within the automotive industry. At least 15 years’ experience managing sales/business development Degree holder in business administration or other related disciplines Strong in business analytics Experience in managing relationships, both internally and externally (third party vendors) Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to gain trust of key stakeholders and gain respect as a subject-matter expert Ability to work independently and get the job done – entrepreneurial in nature Ability to work well with a team across multiple departments Experience in the automotive industry, after-market and automotive coating
