Operations Director 
12 yearsJob Description : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR VICTORIA, CANADA FOR MACALONEY BREWERS AND DISTILLERS · Responsible for implementation and delivery of operations including a 4-fold capacity expansion, team development, production planning, bottom-up budgeting / forecasting, safety and security for our 17,000 sq ft main site and ancillary warehouse(s) currently with $11M+ of maturing whisky. · Contract manufacturing - management of existing contracts and recruitment of new clients encompassing contract negotiation through to product delivery. · Introduce KPI's, production efficiency bonus', preventative maintenance, quality control, SOP & training, staff development program. · Manage purchasing and inventory control for production to ensure adequate cost-effective supply and inventory control of raw materials, dry-goods, consumables, spare parts, etc. · Maintain a safe work environment for all on-site staff, contract manufacturing clients and tourists, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies, systems and processes, including Worksafe, WHMIS, CRD wastewater and by-product disposal and other governmental agencies to ensure regulatory compliance. · Contribute to building a fun and enjoyable team-culture. · Other tasks and responsibilities associated with growth stage business as identified by MBD’s Management. · Position reports directly to CEO (30 yrs fermentation-process industry experience; 19 yrs C-level executive; whiskymaker). Senior Leadership Team member with CEO, Finance-Regulatory Manager, Sales/Marketing Manager, and Visitor Centre Manager. Requirements: · Must have 12+ years management experience, including Director / VP level, in the fermentation or biochemical process industry. Large scale commercial (beyond craft) whisky or beer production experience is an asset. · A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, is a bonus · Canadian citizens / landed immigrants only.
