Supply Chain Manager

Job Description : SCM THIKA KENYA FOR FMCG The purpose of this job is to oversee supply chain processes and analyze cost expenditures and thereafter recommend cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Coordination with the production team on MOQ and Safety stocks of raw materials and packing materials 2. Coordination of imports 3. Ensure timely Bond Application, Duty Remission scheme and VAT Exemption application process 4. Constant update on the KENTRADE & ICMS system 5. Liaison with the Finance department to ensure custom taxes are paid immediately. 6. Maintain supply chain inventory and records 7. Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes 8. Resolve supply chain issues that come up 9. Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth 10. Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain 11. Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards 12. Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals 13. Any other duties assigned by management 1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Procurement management from an accredited institution 2. Experience in any ERP software and advanced excel skills 3. Work experience of at least 12 years in Imports/ FMCG sector 4. Good working knowledge of cost accounting and duty remission procedures s
