Job Description : HEAD OF SITE PROJECTS & MAINTENANCE GCC This person will be responsible for maintenance of plant operation, utilities, farm, site and project scoping establishing maintenance policies, procedures, and flow charts. In addition, they will be responsible for maintaining plant production lines and fostering a well-trained, motivated maintenance team across the site. In a supporting role, the position helps supervise and coordinate all site maintenance personnel to achieve an effective and efficient low-cost plant & site operation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Manage and direct engineering workforce. · Plan, organize and review maintenance schedules, shift working and related activities within the maintenance department. · Design, plan and implement to ensure availability of emergency response (on and off-hour) including equipment repair, damage control, and assignment of support personnel as needed to cover the 24-hour, 7 day operation. · Ensure adequate support to production with reduced instances of equipment breakdowns. · Address breakdowns urgently to get production back on track. · Foster a “proactive” culture for the site engineering staff. · Use of Lean Management tools in the day-to-day activities. · Design, implement and maintain preventive as well as predictive maintenance programs with the help of the maintenance team. · Establish with production department agreed planned services. · Advice to the CMO-CPP on relevant maintenance replacements and upgrades required on a periodic basis. · Planned maintenance and scheduled shutdowns, and maintenance schedules with associated timelines. · Lower instances of unscheduled shutdown lead to reduced production losses. · Investigate and resolve technical problems within stipulated timelines with the help of a competent team. · Address faults in equipment and machines in a time-bound manner. · Develop strategies to develop, coach & mentor staff. · Ensure plant quality performance standards are maintained. · Ensure workmanship is at world-class standard. · Monitor and control maintenance standards with departments. · Ensure plant and equipment function as per documented performance standards. · Ensure plant & equipment meet GMP standards. · Oversees Capital Expenditure items including equipment purchases, contracted labor and in-house construction and fabrication projects. · Prepare and administer department budget within established guidelines for maintenance and repair of site plant and equipment. · Control and minimize the incidence of the 7 wastes within site department. · Help establish capital and operating budgets for plant and equipment · Keep track of actual expenses and conduct variance analysis for exception reports. · Manage inventories to lower impacts on cash flow. · Oversee entire wastewater treatment and refrigeration systems. · Oversee boiler operations and water softening/treatment for use in products. · Review methods of operation and working practices and make recommendations to management. · Keep abreast of and advise management on technical developments requiring retrofitting machinery to meet new laws and efficiency standards. · Adapting to new technological changes/developments. KEY INGREDIENTS · Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / or other related fields. · The overall experience of 12 years or more in manufacturing with a minimum of five (5) years of Plant Maintenance experience in an FMCG company/agribusiness. · Experience in overseeing the manufacturing of Fresh products is essential · GCC experience is essential – cultural understanding of the region · Experience with GMP, Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Employment Standards regulatory requirements. · Expertise in aseptic filling machines both Tetra Pak & Combi is highly advantages · Team player with excellent motivational skills. · Have knowledge of Lean Management tools.
