It currently have a large portfolio of approved products, all protected by its label, as well as a large commercial network throughout Cameroon. We are looking for a Chief Operating officer who will be in charge of directing the company's operations to make sure it achieves its objectives effectively and efficiently. If you are a self-directing, highly organized, strategically thinking, result oriented, number cruncher and detailed oriented individual with a get-it-done attitude. You have the ability to understand and effectively analyze complex problems, to quickly master new technical and business knowledge, can take quick decisions, this job is for you. You will report directly to the company Managing Director to develop and implement the strategy. · Put in place a solid strategy, develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders based on market assessment, competition, commercial positioning, territorial coverage objectives (national, regional and international).. · Diagnose and initiate a global restructuring by updating all the processes that need to be revised. · Define and implement a real commercial and development strategy. · Ensure that the company always has the necessary skills by setting up a support system to help all the staff to evolve. · Provide strategic advice to the board and Chairperson so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future · Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities · Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times. · Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities · Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures · Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance · Develop partnership relationships with specialized professional businesses related to distributed essential drugs (Order of Physicians, specialists, pharmacists, etc.). · Participate in the elaboration of the budget and ensure its follow-up · Team management · Proven experience as chief operating officer or other managerial position · Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills · Demonstrable experience in developing strategy and business plans · Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company · Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance · Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices · Bilingual – English & French · BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred. · At least 10 years’ experience in a Management position in Pharmacy or similar activities · Sense of analysis and strategy · Excellent communication skills · Very good organization and ability · Authority and ability to supervise many directions · Sense of responsibility · Respect for the environment
