Regional Management Accountant

Job Description : Regional Management Accountant (Mining / Finance / Geochemical / French / ERP / Expat) – Ivory Coast, West Africa a global company providing analytical services to the mining industry, is seeking a Regional Management Accountant to join their team in Ivory Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the finance and administration functions across the company’s operations in West Africa. · Provide leadership and direction for the finance and administration functions across the company’s operations in West Africa · Provide coverage and support as applicable to West Africa Team, including training and development of local teams · Supervise the Financial Accounting and Management Accounting function across the company’s operations in West Africa · Ensure that each finance department is run effectively, efficiently, professionally and is compliant with all relevant taxation, corporate governance legislation and Company policy · Assist with the external audit processes across all countries in the region · Assist in the development of the finance and administration strategy and implementation in line with corporate strategy · Undergraduate qualification in Accounting · Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting · A professional qualification (or working towards) in the field of Accounting/Internal Auditing would be an advantage · Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior/leadership role · Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the field of Accounting/Finance or Auditing · Minimum of 10 years working experience in the mining or manufacturing industry · Experience working with foreign multi-national enterprises · Good knowledge and experience with ERP systems such as D365, Sage, SAP, Oracle, Pronto or Sun · Strong leadership and self-organisation skills – the ability to lead a team and obtain results · Effective communication skills in both English and French · Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and be proactive · Strong Excel skills · Frequent travel throughout West Africa
