Group Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : GROUP CFO UAE A significantly large format conglomerate headquartered out of the UAE with operations across the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia. At the outset, we would like to be clear that the position is very high up the pecking order and there are certain details of the position that we would only share with shortlisted candidates. Sensitivities always surround something at this level!- We are looking for a leader who has operated with organizations of high complexity, revenues over US 3+billion and have driven change at the highest levels. The client organization is undergoing significant transformation and integration of business units so your commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and engagement with stakeholders beyond the finance purview need to be at the highest levels. Today's business enterprises require deep partnership from the finance function to be able to deliver the business objectives. Working in close partnership with the Group CEO you would need to wear both hats of strategic partnership and business development. Your key accountabilities would be managing the overall finance function with a firm hold on corporate governance, strategy, effective management of the working capital, Capex, ensuring dashboards are created for effective decision making and you should be able to influence at the highest echelons of the organization. You would look at aligning certain key strategic changes across all functions ( we are assuming you are someone deeply embedded in understanding the full value chain of the business units) restructuring of certain business units, doing the due diligence and being a major voice in the acquisitions of new businesses, value creation. Experience in a large complex, a multi-geography organization is essential prior exposure to the food manufacturing/distribution/retail and engineering industry would have high preference. CA/CPA/ CMA ...and a minimum of 25+ years of a qualitative and stable career.
