18 yearsJob Description : CFO EAST AFRICA Job description • Role • The CFO needs to drive plans across Finance and, more importantly, across the entire organization, to execute strategic and financial objectives while also creating a risk-intelligent culture. • Act as a financial leader helping to shape and define the organizations strategic direction and aligning the organizations financial people, processes and systems accordingly. • Concentrate on protecting and preserving the organizations critical assets and accurately reporting its financial position and operations to stakeholders. • Drive efficiency and effectiveness of the core transaction processing processes and systems to ensure a rock solid quality-based foundation. • Capital planning, budgeting and forecasting should be driven by an approach - in identifying and finding opportunities to getting the most out of a portfolio of assets that often far exceed the available capital. Such a plan should include the following measures: • A single version of the truth for actual, budget and forecast • Codified and automated business logic to combine data from each source • Analytics modules and business processes to support budgeting and forecasting deliverables, including scenario modeling and reporting • A Finance Analytics roadmap to prioritize business needs • An automated financial reporting package — for both management and external reporting. • Qualification • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or a Business discipline (Minimum of Second Class Lower) • Professional accounting certification and/or Certified Financial Analyst • Experience • Minimum 18-25 years’ experience in accounting and finance with working knowledge of financial advisory, corporate finance, project finance or private equity • At least 10 years’ managerial experience • Proven experience as CFO, Finance Manager or relevant role • ANY INDUSTRY EXCEPT SOFTWARE INDUSTRY
