Group Project Head

Job Description : GROUP PROJECT HEAD UGANDA A GroupProjectprofessional for a highly respected conglomerate in Uganda. This is a Group level position and the incumbent would be responsible for all the projects the group has ventured or planning to venture into. Group Project Head with a reputed Conglomerate in East Africa. Reporting in to the MD Industry- manufacturing Experience- 20+ years Responsibilities: 1. Identification of opportunities for expansion / diversification / acquisitions / divestments. 2. Pre-feasibility analysis for any new investments covering preliminary market potential and budgetary revenues and costs. 3. Project reporting– including detailed market study (volumes, quality and prices), evaluation of technology options, assessment of capital costs and operating costs, assessment of input availability, organization structure and staffing, detailed financial projections 4. Arranging funding from Banks/ Development Finance Institutions – including negotiation of terms, loan agreements, security documentation, etc. 5. Procurement for Projects (as per internal/ financiers procedures): 6. Project implementation – monitoring project progress; coordinating activities of consultants, suppliers, contractors, internal staff,reporting to management and financiers. 7. For new projects, negotiating long-term supply / sale agreements. 8. Interaction with Government agencies in respect of various project activities to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
