Job Description : Engineer/Manager-QA/QC (Mechanical)" for a leading EPC Company based at Central Africa. Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Years of experience: 15 Years Project: Copper & Cobalt Mining Construction Projects. Competency Requirements: 1. Structural, mechanical, piping and plate work expert, must have international construction experience in SMPP QA/QC with complex projects within the heavy industrial environment and processing plants." 2. Capacity to interpret various technical specifications and international standards: ASME, AWS, API, BS, etc.. 3. Must be able to setup Quality Control Plans (QCP’s) and maintain document registers & specific data books. 4. Must have a good understanding of all QA/QC standards based on fixed plant knowledge in line with all relevant standards and certifications. 5. Provide a master list of Quality Documents ensuring that all documents conform to company’s quality procedures. 6. Ensure all documents are up-to-date current and accessible with all designated holders. 7. Coordinate inspection & test requirements of the project at appropriate stages of process / production as per contract Requirements. 8. Compile and maintain pertinent records of inspection and testing and transit all the records to the Quality System Unit. 9. Ability to identify areas lacking in quality assurance and enforce quality system procedure. 10. Read and Interpret fabrication & construction drawings. 11. Analyse specifications and manuals and provide technical information to implement operating procedures, clarify Ambiguities and solve problems 12. Prepare and conduct piping hydro testing works as per QC requirements. 13. Prepare and manage erection and alignment of equipment (Static & Rotary). 14. Prepare PQR (Procedure Qualification for WPS), qualify welders and prepare welder qualifications and welders ID. 15. Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions. 16. Weld consumable control, Final dimensional inspection. 17. Preparation of Weld & NDT Maps. 18. Preparation of piping test packs. 19. Able to prepare QA/QC documentation like Inspection Reports, QCP, NCR & Technical Query etc. 20. Prepare Final QA/ QC dossier to submit to the client.
