Tool Room Keeper

Job Description : OOL ROOM KEEPER UAE for a leading Electro Mechanical Contracting Company involved in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical - Maintenance / Construction Projects in UAE. Minimum Requirements -Minimum 8 years hands on experience as Tool Keeper in Refinery or petrochemical plant having working knowledge on tools and its operation. -Writing and reading skill in English. -Computer knowledge with MS Office operational skill Basic Function Segregates and arranges tools in the tool room rack and bins in orderly manner so as to trace tools easily and shortly, issue and receive tools activities from end users, posting of tools record in the SAP system, conduct physical inspection of the Tools for and sort out faulty tools, keep separate list of the tools requiring calibration with frequency schedule, prepare Loss and Damage report of tools. Roles and Responsibilities -Able to Bin, Stack or Rack various types of Tools and Consumables within the Tool Room. -Maintains the proper control of Tool issue / return system to all different discipline level. -Issue and Return of Tools through CMMMS Maximo "Tool Room Management System" -Prepare Weekly Monthly Tool Issue Return reports though CMMMS Maximo System. -Prepare Work Request for Repair of Tool through CMMMS Maximo System. -Carries out periodic test and inspection various Types of Pneumatic, Hydraulic & electrically operated Tools. -Able to Setup Preventive Maintenance of Tools. -Follow-up Preventive Maintenance schedule for Tools. -Ensure tool reliability and availability for all maintenance discipline. -Keeps properly, categorizing and segregation of any damage tools for effective action of repair and replacement. -Maintains proper documentation and keep updated test record for all tools history though CMMMS Maximo. -Prepare list of Tools to be Replenished or Replaced and submit to line supervisor -Checks and inspects the received tools with delivery note and verify it as per our specification, PRILPO and identifies the tools accordingly as per to their discipline and kind of tools. -Using Maximo to prepare MR, Petty cash, LPO and Preparing LVMR. -Receives checks, correctly identifies, of all tools, consumables and workshop's equipment spare parts in locations according to tool room management system. Ensures the correct stacking of tools in accordance with applicable internationally recommended practices, verifies that tools received are in accordance with purchase orders and passes to Supervisor. -Issues, in accordance with instructions from Supervisor and against correctly authorized tools issue vouchers and other consumables to workshop discipline. -Issues, in accordance with instructions from Supervisor and against correctly authorized blind issue vouchers during unit SID & TAR. -Receives returned tools, checks that items are correctly labelled, packed and protected for transit and storage, ensuring that all tools are in good condition prior to storage. Updates record cards with receipt and new balances in tool room. -Receives returned blinds, checks that items are correctly labelled, packed and protected for transit and storage, ensuring that all blinds are in good condition prior to storage. Updates record with receipt and new balances in blind yard. -Records all movement details on log book to indicate receipts, issues and tool balance after each receipt or issue. -Ensures that all items in the tool room are adequately and correctly protected prior to placing on the metal shelving. -Maintains all storage areas in a safe, clean and tidy condition, and provides work instructions to helpers to ensure this. -Observes mandatory safety standards whilst handling of all types of tools. -Carries out other similar or related duties, as assigned, such as assisting with continuous physical check of tool inventories. Reporting on usage frequency of required items, etc. -Able to identify various Personal Protection equipment required for Workshop Crafts. -Able to Bin, store and Issue PPE to workshop crafts as required
