Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : CFO CANADA A dynamic cryptocurrency firm is seeking a CFO to join their Toronto team. Reporting to & partnering with the CEO, the CFO will play a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of the firm. CFO As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will be an advisor to the Executive Committee, evaluating and assisting them with their financial plans and economic modeling. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the Board of Directors. Duties: - Ensure compliance with IIROC and OSC. - Design and prepare all required regulatory reporting. - Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, analyses, and information reports under IFRS. - Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards. - Work with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations. - Build and maintain annual forecast + other relevant models. - Develop tools and systems to provide information to the CEO and make recommendations on strategy and operations. - Oversee the Treasury department which includes management of cryptocurrency assets cash positions. Requirements: - 10+ years in a Senior Management position, 5 of which years ideally in an IIROC-regulated environment - CPA Preferred - Completed, or willingness to complete, CFO certification through the Canadian Securities Institute. - Completed or willingness to complete PDO certification through the Canadian Securities Institute - Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles (including IFRS)
