Senior Finance and Cost Controller

Job Description : Senior Finance and Cost Controller This is a residential position in Likasi, The DRC. Flights and leave days are to be negotiated. 1- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Sage) extracting data and fluent with Excel tables/graphs/pivot tables… 2- Able to build integrated reporting files linking to the accounting database 3- Solid experience (5+ years) in cost accounting and with industrial cost accumulation from raw material to WIP, inventory to finished goods, and allocation of costs (per product/per section) 4- Able to understand production process and phases and their implication on accounting, cash and non-cash items 5- Experience with cost allocation (indirect costs that needs to be allocated to products) 6- Experience in the cement industry and/or mining : production process with intermediary goods 7- Experience in commercial contracting – able to review and understand contract, subcontract and their implication for operations and finance 8- Able to interact with operations people and finance/accounting team to draft and implement processes (financial processes, procurement process, internal control process) on the ground, in connection with the IT system where applicable. 9- Able to produce scenario analysis, excel model simulating assumptions on costing and how they unfold into the financials of the company 10- Involved in year end Audit and in the Preparation financial statements 11- Participate to the monthly closing and to the financial statements and general accounting of the company 12- Prepare dedicated report for Management and shareholders at request. 13- Attention to detail 14- Meeting deadlines 15- “Hands-on attitude “ - We need someone who has been doing 16- Assertive and able to work and interact in a difficult environment with multicultural setting (working with Chinese would be an advantage) 17- French and UK speaking 18- Able to train local accountants and work as a team 19- Knowledge of OHADA/French chart of account a plus
