Shift Engineer

Job Description : SHIFT ENGINEER NIGERIA FOR PET EXTRUSION Co. to be based at Lagos, Nigeria, West Africa mfg. a large verity of Product range consists of garden furniture, thermoware, and household items. Household items like buckets, basins, trolleys etc... Molded garden furniture like chairs, tables, trolleys with wheels etc Co. consistently maintained excellent growth rate over the years. The company is known for the quality of the products and commands. Diploma/ Degree in any engineering. Experience: Candidate should have 8+years of experience in verifiable experience in Extruder and Thermoforming line Roles and Responsibilities: · Responsible for safely operating the PET(Polyethylene Terephthalate) Thermoforming and Extruder equipment as a Shift Engineer in an efficient and effective manner. · Responsible for producing quality products with minimal scrap and downtime. This position takes direction from and reports directly to the Production Manager · Comply with and have a working knowledge of PET(Polyethylene Terephthalate) Thermoforming and Extruder equipment. · Perform and complete the safety checklist at the beginning of each shift. Identifying and reporting issues immediately to supervisor. · Have knowledge of and comply with all SOPs and JSAs related to operating the thermoforming and extruder line including personal protection equipment, lock-out/tag-out, housekeeping, MSDS, etc. · Demonstrate ability to effectively and efficiently start up and shutdown the thermoforming and extruder equipment in a safe manner. · Operate and continuously monitor the Extruder and thermoforming machine, adjusting the machine only when necessary to ensure customer requirements are sustained. · Must be able to operate both Chinese Extruder and Thermoforming machines. · Troubleshoot quality and processing problems and make corrections accordingly and Set molds as required. · Operate a forklift or other equipment to move materials and products from one area to another. · Responsible to assist in training of temporary employees, packers, and other operators working on the machine as it relates to standards of production, housekeeping, quality, and safety. · Accurately measure machine performance, scrap, waste, and downtime.
