10 yearsJob Description : IT HEAD PHILIPINNES A Head of IT job opportunity has become available where you will manage and oversee application development and design of software applications based on necessary software design standards and security frameworks and administration of information and communications technology, including operational systems, ICT hardware and services including business process improvement tooling. As the Head of IT, you will provide ideas and suggestions to improve processes, approaches, and methodologies Track, review and own the project delivery timeliness for various software projects Provide necessary guidance and intervention where necessary to the software development team so as to develop quality software within the scope and timeliness Troubleshoot bent of mind to provide necessary workarounds and solutions within the given resource constraints so as to ensure uptime and performance of business application within the given SLA Manage, monitor and provide motivation and support to IT staff to achieve optimum cohesiveness, productivity and efficiency Oversee the development, implementation and control of the CTOS IT policy and procedures and other related policies, procedures and guidelines. Monitor and ensure continuous IT governance and technology risk culture Hire a dynamic team with adequate software development skills and experience to develop and support the business applications Manage, monitor and provide motivation and support to IT staff to achieve optimum cohesiveness, productivity and efficiency Continuously explore and evaluate new technology products and software frameworks, perform POC to provide world-class software solutions Plan and execute IT processes in line with company’s objectives with recommendation to improve business processes Monitor and manage service level agreements with external service providers and clients Propose recommendations to maximise the investments and efficiency of the IT systems and related processes Ensure implementations of projects are in accordance with the approved business strategies, within the allocated budget and executed in a timely manner Ensure IT policies, standards and other relevant regulatory requirements (for example from BNM, CRA Registrar on IT and data security matters) are adhered to by the staff at all times and continuous awareness campaigns Prepare relevant reports and proposals to be presented to the management and board of directors meetings for their awareness, decisions and approval Ensure proper documentations of IT structure, layout, systems and procedures/policies for easy reference Ensure operational availability, integrity, performance and security of all components of the bureau’s computing infrastructure to meet the business demands Liaise with relevant regulators and clients (e.g. banks) on IT related issues and build up good rapport Ensure breadth and depth of talent in the bureau is improved continuously, through training, coaching, mentoring and performance feedback Monitor attendance, performance and discipline of IT staff as well as plan and recommend their development and training requirements Work closely, professionally and management of vendors in accordance to Procurement policies and guidelines Assume responsibility of other relevant tasks as assigned from time to time To succeed as the Head of IT, you should have a bachelor's or master’s degree in IT engineering or any related field. Exposure to business and IT operations at a management level At least 10 years in the IT industry with five years of hands-on software development experience in Microsoft (.NET) or Core Java and another five to seven years in a managerial/leadership role Must have working experience with SQL querying and reporting and must have good knowledge of database administration Knowledge of technology application in banking and credit risk management operations Able to propagate the function of IT and technology as a key differentiator in business Extensive IT, operational and project management experience Good communication, ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking and analytical skills Able to motivate and lead a diverse work force to achieve desired results Able to provide leadership in crisis situations in a calm and professional manner Proven history of successful implementation of IT policies and procedures Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomatic and tactful Proactive with a high level of integrity and business conduct
