Finance Director

Job Description : FINANCE DIRECTOR ROTTERDAM, HOLLAND For Blauwwind, a joint-venture that operates an offshore wind farm closeby the Dutch Coast is recruiting a Finance Director. The Finance Director will work in a small windfarm owners management team. The Owners team, accountable for the windfarm, will work with Eneco Wind Offshore Operations (EWOO) as the asset management service provider to jointly deliver against the wind farm key performance indicators. The other shareholders are Partners Group, Shell, DGE and Luxcara. The main contractors are Vestas Offshore Wind and Van Oord. The finance team consists of the Finance Director and the Financial Controller. While the routine administrative services are managed by the controller it is the Finance Director that is end-responsible for the entire finance division and all its reports. The Finance Director is responsible for the treasury and accounting processes and is the primary point of contact towards the lenders. You will also be responsible for all revenue streams, including subsidies and communication with RvO. In addition, the Finance Director is part of the Executive Committee together with the Operations Director and authorized to represent the company to a certain degree. The Finance Director also reports and manages all the financial items with the Board on a monthly basis. Main tasks include (continued): Understand the JV partners specific requirements and preferences in terms of the above responsibilities and to keep regular contact with JV finance team representatives regarding the same, including regular face to face meetings; Maintaining and control the (updated) Business Case; Maintaining and controlling the offtake agreements (revenue streams) with PPA parties and SDE subsidy arrangement with RvO and other stakeholders; Maintaining and controlling the Insurance Contract; Manage the Annual Project Budget for Shareholder and Lenders separately; Ad hoc support to the Operations Director and Board requests. Flexible delivery is required in a small team. Strong management skills required yet also down to earth to do to the works. Considering the small Operations Team there is a need for taking the lead and doing the works yourself. “Always check, never assume” attitude. You have strong analytical skills. Helicopter view and the ability to make conscious decisions. You are fluent in English (oral and written) and Dutch is strongly preferred. Completed academic degree in accounting or finance; Excellent understanding of Dutch Gaap and IFRS in high capex investments; Must have Project Finance setting experience; Extensive experience in similar financial management function; Preferably exposure to various taxes (CIT, VAT, Payroll taxes);
