General Manager 
15 yearsJob Description : GM MALAYSIA A global leader in process engineering equipment is recruiting for a General Manager job to lead the entire commercial operations of their Malaysia business. In this business critical role, you will take the lead in terms of commercial management, sales development, and operations management across sales, aftersales, logistics and warehousing and finance functions. You will be responsible to achieve the highest possible level of sales growth and profit margin in the operating company. Full P&L responsibility of the business Development of strategic direction and execution plans for Malaysia in alignment with overall Regional and Divisional/Group business priorities Achievement of sales growth and profitability and management of business performance against plans Development of the annual and longer-term business plans for Malaysia Provision of adequate management function support for sales, marketing, business development, finance, human resources, product management, logistics, technical/training, environmental health and safety Lead, engage and develop employees in line with group core values and expectations as well as ensuring necessary training, development and pipeline build for the business Ensure management of talents and succession planning Ensure the after-sales service is maintained to the highest standards Monitor market and competitor activity proactively and ensure due consideration of these in annual sales and business plans To succeed in this General Manager role, you must have an engineering degree with prior experience in sales of industrial mechanical equipment/machinery and have managed other business functions besides sales (e.g. service, finance, operations, etc.).Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, or a related field More than five years of experience in a senior leadership role managing complex businesses 15 years’ experience within industrial businesses (mechanical equipment) with a mix of sales, service and other operational functions (e.g. finance, HR, logistics, etc.) Proven track record in leading direct sales and service organisations with deep understanding of customers’ manufacturing processes Strong business and financial acumen Strong leadership and people management experience (more than 15 headcounts) Strategic thinking with hands-on approach Ability to influence, collaborate and manage stakeholders in a matrix organisation Driven, hungry and motivated for business growth and innovation
