Job Description : CFO NIGERIA CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) A well reputed engineering & construction company involved in mega construction projects countrywide needs a highly experienced, dynarnic and passionate professional to become part of its team. In this regard, applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). QUALIFICATION A mernber of recognized body of professional accountants. Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant KEY COMPETENCIES Work experience at both domestic or international level in commercial / corporate finance. Well versed with local/international tax laws covering corporate and government taxation. In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices. Must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. The ideal candidate must be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under his command. Experience in generating financial reports, handling affairs related to banks, treasury management and audit compliance and control. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods Proficient in the use of advanced financial management softwares (e.g. SAP) and MS Office. Strategic thinker with strong financial and business acumen. Knowledge of regulatory environment will be added advantage Proven experience and ability to oversee and direct a large corporate finance department which included but may not be limited to financial control, treasury, planning and budgeting, revenue account/accounting and risk management. Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to make decision in complex environment. Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships. Team Leader who has strong leadership skills with ability to read, motivate and coach team members. Professional individual with strong business ethics and personal integrity. WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum 20 years post-qualification experience in finance, of which preferably 10 years at a senior management position in a large and reputed organization. Preference will be given to construction industry experience. The applicants preferably have worked in Big-4 audit firms including article ship. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging frorn sirnple accounting to broad investrnent and banking operations. The ideal candidate must be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under his command. Oversee the budget and financial strategies of the organization. Allocate funds for projects, forecast future revenue needs, analyze expected revenue strearns and help maximize cash flow. Perform effective risk rnanagement and plan the organization's financial strategy. It is a very important and complex role since an organization can only survive if it actively investigates and safeguards its finances. Drive the company's financial planning. Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investrnents. Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks. Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure. Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations. Manage vendor relationships. Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports. Set up and oversee the company's finance IT systern. Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies.
