Head of Finance

Job Description : HEAD OF FINANCE UAE Operating in over 20 countries globally, this successful organisation is experiencing an exciting period of growth and expansion and are now seeking to appoint a Head of Finance. You will lead the Accounting and Finance function partnering with the management team by providing insightful, value add analysis that drives business decisions and evolves business performance. Reporting to the Group CFO this role will form part of the finance leadership team and will play a key role in rebuilding the financial organisation from the ground up. This is a high-profile role and will continuously interact with business leaders and functional heads and the successful candidate will take a lead role in implementing scalable financial systems, developing financial and operational strategies and leading all financial-related activities. The Role · Take accountability and ownership for the integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities for the Region. · Provide support to the CFO in preparing, reviewing, and analysing actual, forecasted, and budgeted financial results on a monthly quarterly and annual basis. · Partner with the business and other stakeholders to understand the underlying business operations and processes to augment the integrity of financial controls and transactions. · Assist in the identification of issues, trends and opportunities impacting the businesses and strategies, which enhance profitability, reduce cost and/or improves efficiency. · Manage the collective achievement of the finance departmental objectives through the leadership of the finance department – setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal · Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth · Implement operational best practice, financial systems and ensure financial legal compliance. The Person · University Degree and/or Masters Degree · Professional Accounting Qualification: ACA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA · A minimum of 12 - 15 years finance leadership experience with exposure to large-scale project-based activities. · Ability to think strategically but have a hands-on pragmatic approach to implementation. · Outstanding commercial and strategic awareness and acumen with proven leadership capability, inspiring teams and building strong internal and external business relationships · Proficiency in business process leadership; being able to drive project plans from planning process, implementation and communication · Fluent English language skills
