Job Description : SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER ZAMBIA FOR AGRO CHEMICALS a leading player in the Agriculture Sector in Tanzania/East Africa supplying farmers with Agrochemicals and farm inputs such as knapsack sprayers. 5-10 years’ experience in the agrochemical field or crop protection chemical sales across sub Saharan Africa. Prior exposure in rural sales and rural markets of any African countries and markets. Oversee day-to-day sales, monitoring, and forecasting to better understand the market. Continually assess our marketing techniques and their efficacy in affecting sales. Stay up-to-date on current market trends. Experience in launchings of new products. Experience in identifying and appointing distributors. Capable of creating and handling a sales team. Ambitious and passionate candidate with strong customer orientation and comfortable with agrochemical distribution. Should have a passion for agriculture and farming community development and willing to learn about crops and pests. Should have a strong commercial orientation with a drive and focus towards enhancing profitability. Work collaboratively with the sales team to assess current projections Own ultimate responsibility for successfully meeting or exceeding sales goals Collaborate with marketing team to creatively reach more potential customers Take calculated risks to increase profitability and brand recognition Work in a hands-on fashion, building the team—provide motivation and inspiration Set the precedent for excellence through leading by example Cultivate and deepen client relationships and partnerships that add value Qualities and Abilities of the Candidate: Spearhead Zambia sales for Agrochemicals and crop protection chemicals. Develop, formulate and implement all M sales strategies. Set up and manage sales and distribution networks across the country, appoint channel partners, stockiest, distributors, dealers, and retailers along with identifying other ways to increase distribution networks. Deliver sales revenue targets for Zambia Develop effective market-wise sales strategies to meet desired objectives. Effectively launch new products and implement a market development activities with trade marketing initiatives. Develop and maintain a secured collection system. Communicate with clearing forwarding agents, arrange logistics and oversee timely distribution. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field 5+ years’ experience in sales for Agrochemicals and crop protection chemicals.
