Job Description : OPERATIONS HEAD SENEGAL FOR MINING Production of ore and concentrate as per BP Quality of concentrate as per specification Uptime of equipment as per plan Dispatch of concentrate as per plan Zero accidents 100% compliance with local regulations Cost of concentrate as per BP Completion of CSR projects for local communities Implementation of Capex projects Daily monitoring and reporting of performance of mine operations Key decisions to be made by the job holder 1. Development of mine plan 2. Budgeting for manpower, Maintenance, Capex 3. Execution of Capex Projects 4. Liaisioning with local authorities 1. Annual BP Budget 2. Manpower recruitment 3. CSR projects 4. Mine expansion plan Desired Candidate Profile Bachelors or masters degree in mining from a premier Institute like Indian Institute of Mining, Dhanbad 15-20 years’ experience as mine manger in open pit mining of minerals also such as phosphate , limestone, iron ore, copper General management skills • Ability to adopt to the work environment in a foreign country • Strong problem-solving skills • Self-driven and ability to work independently • Excellent leadership and communication skills • High Integrity • Strong technical skills o Geological modelling using Surpac o Mine planning using Whittle o Scheduling o Excavation equipment o Haulage equipment o Ore processing o Fuel efficiency Should be willing to relocate to Senegal
