Together with the team you will facilitate further growth while enhancing financial stewardship, transparency, compliance and performance. As the Finance Director you will be the right hand of the Group CFO and you will play a pivotal and leading role in the professionalism of the finance function. Together with the team you will facilitate further growth while enhancing financial stewardship, transparency, compliance and performance. The Finance Director takes ownership in providing financial projections, accounting services and future growth plans of the domestic and foreign entities. You will work closely with the CFO, the Finance Director for Market Places, the Finance Managers and external accountants. You are responsible for a team of three Finance Managers and two Financial Assistants and have a strong sense of leadership. Together you will ensure the finance department is scalable and agile. Taking ownership and pro-actively searching (and addressing) ways to further develop and improve the business will make sure you succeed in this role. The ideal candidate profile We are looking for a Finance Director with strong leadership and planning & coordinating skills. You are committed to go the extra mile and you want to be part of a fun team that doesn’t mind a good office party every once in a while! Requirements: Managerial experience with a team of 3 FTE, more is preferred; Excellent knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures; Critical thinker, knows how to challenge the status quo; You have a perfect grasp of the English language, Dutch is a plus; (post) Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; At least 10 years of relevant experience in a finance leadership position (experience within a scale-up is preferred); Advanced MS Excel skills; Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Twinfield, LucaNet).
