Job Description : DISTRIBUTION HEAD UGANDA FOR IRON AND STEEL The purpose of the job is to manage the Distribution sales channel of the business, through the application of the appropriate sales strategies and relevant marketing tools, in order to ensure that there are always adequate levels of sales demand for the business in terms of geographical spread, volumes, product-mix and profitability. The job entails the formulation and implementation of the sales plan in line with the company's objectives. This includes defining the market, competitor share, and competitor advantages and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; researching, identifying, and capitalising on market opportunities; developing sales and pricing strategies, objectives, action plans, schedules, and assignments. The position is part of the executive management team of the business and therefore participates in the day-to-day management of the company. CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION Qualifications required: Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor's Degree - Sales & Marketing Qualifications as an added advantage: MBA (Sales & Marketing) Experience required: General work experience (years): 12-18 years Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 10 years Industry: Manufacturing International experience: Mandatory Key competencies and skills: Excellent communication skills Analytical skills Sales acumen Skilled in strategy and business development Strong leadership skills
