Cost Accountant

Job Description : COST ACCOUNTANT NIGERIA Provides cost estimates, materials estimate for projects. 2) Accountable for monitoring the progress of project Post and process Journal to ensure all business transactions entries are done through the ERP. 3) Maintain company ledgers and daily transactions entries. 4) Update project stock and applicators records. 5) Prepare and submit weekly / monthly reports applicable. 6) Responsible for managing the financial activities that occur throughout a project’s lifecycle. 7) Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs 8) Setting standard costs of manufactured goods 9) Developing and analyzing cost standards 10) Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis, including for small businesses 11) Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc. 12) Performing account reconciliations 13) Preparing reports and presenting their findings to management 14) Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit 15) Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data. 16) Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions 17) Prepare budget forecast 18) Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies 19) Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database 20) Construct data accumulation systems 21) ?Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs) BSc in Accounting, finance or relevant degree. · Candidate must have at least 8 years’ working experience as an accountant. · Proficiency in Accounting Software (Tally and ERP) and Microsoft Office suite. · Thorough knowledge of accounting procedure · Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables). · Good oral and written communication skills · Good team player. · Time management. · Attention to detail. · Interpersonal, Self-Management and Leadership skills · Strong sense of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect trade secret · Competitive pay USD 2,500 -3,000 (bonus & local allowance) · Comprehensive health insurance · Furnished accommodations/housing allowances (rent, water & electricity) · Transport facilities (car, fuel expense, designated driver) · Avenues for professional development
