Mould Engineer

Job Description : MOULD ENGINEER BRAZIL · Minimum of 10 years of experience as Journeyman Mould Maker, Mould Technician, or Mould Process Engineer within at least one of the following Plastics Technologies: · Injection · Injection Stretch Blow Moulding · Extrusion Blow Moulding · Injection Blow Moulding · Possess a thorough understanding of every aspect of the mould tooling within at least one of the moulding platforms listed above. · Comprehending and interpreting mould drawings, customer mold standards, (DFM) Design For Manufacturing, troubleshooting of moulds versus process related issues. · Experience in identification of defects related to mold steel design, process and equipment related defects. · Previous experience in moulding with an emphasis on, following manufacturing activities such as: Machining operations, Assembly operations, Mould functionality and Mould qualification programs. · Experience in breaking down, evaluating and assessing moulds, down to the component level, in one or more of the following moulding disciplines: IBM, SBM, ISBM, and EBM. · Identify and ensure that all critical components of the tooling meet acceptable conditions and product performance, and issues are identified and resolved for optimizing mold manufacturability, and process capability. · Engineers must be excellent communicators, willing to travel up to 50% throughout Europe, Asia and Africa. · Proficient with Microsoft Email, Excel, Power Point, and computer driven software data entry · Experience in documenting tooling performance criteria, and condition assessment related issues, performing onsite evaluations, remote mold evaluations, creating and managing work orders and mold conditions in the Mould Management System. · Experience in inspecting finished product for visual defects to understand mould repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance requirements. · Experience in troubleshooting mould issues, collecting and analyzing data, leading investigations, and developing a (RCA) Root Cause Analysis related to moulds. · Solid-Works Software is a Plus! · Process Development Oversight for New Tool Projects in Injection and Blow Moulding · Validation Protocol Management · Tooling Condition Review · Work Center Assessments · Onsite Oversight of Qualifications / Tool Shops · Analysis & Reporting · Managing Issues · Process Management · Travel to Tool Shops & Converters for Qualifications
