Job Description : Vice President -Procurement /Direct Material Sourcing -for API -Pharmaceutical Large Global Pharma Org. key Responsibilities Strategic Planning- Sourcing & Procurement raw Material for API Aligning the Procurement Activity with Business Forecasts. Preparing long & Short-term Procurement Strategies. Identifying Materials of high Business Priority & Aligning the Procurement Plans. Budget Preparations ,Cost Saving Strategies & implementations. Ensure timely Availability of Direct materials for Launch requirements, Commercial Demand & Validation Establish Procurement Policies , Procedures . Development of Process & Systems transparently. Aligning the Procurement Plans as Per Market Conditions & Product line for long term Contracts & Spot Procurement. Identify & lay down Cost effective Strategies to overcome Sourcing related obstacles to ensure timely execution of the Planned Projects. Planning the Procurement at Competitive Prices exploring the Domestic & Global Vendor Base Proactive initiation of Source Development to Mitigate risk. Selection of Vendors, Contract Negotiations – Procurement Approval De-risking Vendor base & Supply Concerns. Building Alliances, Partnerships with Competitive Vendors leveraging their Supply Capabilities with respect to Cost, Delivery & Quality Encouraging the Vendors to Come up with Cost effective & Quality Supplies. Explore the existing & New Vendor base at Domestic & Global Level. Identify, Prioritize, & Deploy Action items for Competency Development in the Team. Set Clear & Objective Goals for Team Qualification & Experience A Chemical Engrs with about 25 years of Exp .required from a well known API Organisation
