Operations and Commercial Manager

Job Description : OPERATIONS AND COMMERCIAL MANAGER MALAYSIA A global industrial parts company is seeking an Operations & Commercial Manager to oversee the assembly platform, order management, supply chain, warehousing and service operations departments. In this job, you will report to the Regional Sales Director. In this Order Management Manager position, you are involved in assembly and service operation management, commercial management, ensuring IT system is effective, and order management, supply chain & warehousing. You will ensure smooth operations in the Malaysia hub. Analyse and oversee the team responsible for assembly schedules and resource to optimise safety, quality and output Lead cross-functional teams to resolve problem and drive improvement in safety, quality, output and culture Review and analyse business processes, procedures, logistical support and systems to identify risks and priorities for continuous improvement of the supply chain Lead the commercial interface with Sales and Business Developers as well as internal business units (Finance, Planning, Sourcing, Legal and Product Line) Identify and manage commercial risks and across the project scopes Ensure ERP roll-out is properly aligned with business objectives and system requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement Provide guidance to ensure service operations and assembly activities reach effectiveness level, quality standards, on-time deliveries and improvements Produce a monthly summary and analysis of inventory liabilities and excess, as well as slow-turning inventories as part of the inventory control exercise Optimise logistic processes against material planning and effectively manage order expectations between factories and customers Manage and control warehouse staff and product, constantly optimising warehouse space usage To succeed in the Operations & Commercial Manager role, you will need to have excellent stakeholder management and strong business acumen to manage manufacturing operations and commercial aspects in the Malaysian hub. Tertiary qualifications in business management, engineering, supply chain or a related field of study 10 - 12 years of experience in operations management with experience in managing P&L Familiarity with ERP (Eg. SAP) usage for order management activities Experienced in rotating equipment manufacturing, industrial application and assembly setting Excellent influencing and follow-up skills and demonstrated agility Demonstrated leadership qualities, highly organised, process driven and analytical in problem-solving Has a positive approach, self-motivated, a team player and possess high level of integrity Application is open to Malaysians and/or candidates with existing right to employment in Malaysia
