Group Chief Operating Officer

Job Description : GROUP COO UAE Group COO for one of the largest commodity businesses in Abu Dhabi with global operations Responsibilities: Reporting to the Group CEO, the position holder is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the right strategies for an efficient and optimized supply chain across the globe. Strategy & Planning Prepare, manage and communicate the operational strategy in support of the overarching company strategy Advise the management team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions Provide guidance and leadership through management of the organization, allocation of resources, and measuring reporting process Operational Lead the global sales strategy and drive the organization strategically to deliver a differentiated value proposition to customers Lead the organization in sourcing products globally and forming strategic relationships Work with the logistics function across the organization to optimize cost, develop differentiated logistics solutions, forge strategic relationships with global shipping companies with the goal of providing the business with a strategic advantage on logistics costs and offers Lead the transformation of the group’s business operations to ensure efficiency, scalability of operations, and organization structure Ensure continuous delivery of services through management of service level agreements with end users and monitoring performance Instill a culture of continuous improvement across the area in scope, with emphasis on data, processes improvement, and optimization Communications: Internal: Board, Management External: Supplier, Government, Consultants Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or any related field Min. 20 years of Experience in Commercial, operational, and/or supply chain Strong business and commercial acumen with experience in managing P&L Proven ability to work in an international or multi-cultural environment Track record of driving operational improvement to financial performance
