Job Description : VP PURCHASE HYDREBAD INDIA Urgent Opening @ HyderabadFor Global Pharma company Position : Head of Purchase at VP Level should be Chemical Engineer /Master Degree/MBA in Supply Chain preferred with 22 to 25 Years of Experience in API Purchase Function Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning- Sourcing and ProcurementAligning the procurement activity with Business Forecasts.Preparing the long and short-term procurement strategies.Identifying materials of high business priority and aligning the procurement plans.Market Intelligence and appropriate action plans.Budget preparations and cost saving strategies and implementations.Material ProcurementEnsure timely availability of Direct materials required for Launch requirements, Commercial demand, Validation requirements.Establish procurement policies and procedures & development of process and systems transparently.Procurement planning as per MRP (Material requirement plan) and Budget forecasts.Aligning the procurement plans as per market conditions and product line for long term Contracts & Spot procurement.Identify and lay down cost effective strategies to overcome sourcing related obstacles to ensure timely execution of the planned Projects. Planning the procurement at competitive prices exploring the Domestic and Global Vendor Base meeting targeted Savings. Proactive initiation of source development to mitigate risk mitigation.Vendor Management Selection of Vendors, Contract negotiations – Procurement Approval as per A&A policy.De-risking Vendor base and supply concerns.Maintain healthy Business relationships with Vendor Base for the benefit of the organization.Building alliances, partnerships with competitive vendors leveraging their supply capabilities with respect to Cost, delivery, quality strengths. Encouraging the Vendors to come up with cost effective and Quality supplies.Explore the existing and new Vendor base at domestic and Global level leveraging Vendor Strengths for Quality materials at competitive prices.Identify and develop New Vendors for existing commercial products for Supply De-risking Plans, Quality Improvements, Cost Improvements plans.Identify the Vendors for Launch, New R&D and Cost Improvement Projects.People ManagementMotivate and encourage the Team to align with the organization objectives and targets. Identify, prioritize, and deploy action items for competency development in the team.Engage with employees, motivate and guide team identifying issues and put appropriate remediation plans.Set clear and objective goals for team.
