Finance and Accounts Manager

Job Description : Manager Finance & Accounts Base Location: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo What you become a part of: The successful candidate will manage the finance & accounting operations for Shalinas business in DRC west, while working closely with the business head and regional financial controller What to expect: · Ensures daily transactions such as payments, receipts, sales, purchases, and stock movements are accurately captured/recorded within the ERP. · Preparation of reconciliation statements for banks, receivables and payables · Acts as a custodian of fixed assets, stocks and other assets of the entity in DRC · Reviews price cascades, costing standards etc. and reports observations as well as deviations to the Business Manager. · Ensures timely (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) consolidation and reporting of financial and accounting information from management accounts. · Prepares monthly budgets, tracks and reports variances to relevant stakeholders. · Analyses and reports cash flow, financial ratios, operational expenses, etc. to Business Manager. · Reviews & implements internal control procedures and ensure compliance with existing cost control measures. · Co – ordinate with auditors and regulators etc. and ensures that the regulatory/statutory/tax obligations of the entity in region are met. Essential skills, experience & education: · Chartered accounting or relevant business qualifications (M. Com, IPCC) etc. · Experience (8-10 years) as a finance manager in pharmaceuticals/retail/consumer goods sector · Prior experience working in Africa is preferred but not mandatory · Self-starter with an ability to stay independently motivated and deliver the assigned mandate · Experience working cross-culturally and cross-functionally with diverse colleagues · Prior exposure to ERP Systems and highly-proficient in the use of MS Office
