Transport Manager

Job Description : TRANSPORT MANAGER NIGERIA Education: Degree or diploma in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering Experience: 10 to 12 years in Fleet management in various supervisory & managerial roles. Preference will be given to candidates in maintenance and operations of Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Mak and HOWO truck heads. Exposure to fleet management software / ERP is an added advantage. · Scheduling routine, preventive, breakdown maintenance and emergency repairs as needed for over 100 fleet of heavy duty trucks with carrying capacity of 30 to 60 tons. · Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules. · Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules. · Managing vehicle registration and required permits etc · Ensuring all fleet crew have proper licenses and up to date training · Monitoring drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices · Recruiting and training new drivers and fleet maintenance staff · Installation of GPS systems and Monitoring vehicle movements · Liaison with law enforcing agents, local government and road transport officials for efficient truck operations · Vehicle insurance and accident claims · Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency · Fabrication of trailer bodies / workshop management Age: 30-45 years
