Job Description : AUTO OEM (CAR/Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer) Designation Technical Cell Manager Experience 8 – 10 Years (Auto Sector) Qualification Engineering (Mechanical / Automobile) Status Family Location Lagos, Nigeria KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Product improvement (Including power train issues) Receive customers complaints through FCR, Warranty, FIR from field &customer voice, define priorities based on safety/frequency/cost/importance, manage the list. Dealer visits for preliminary analysis. Analyze the issues by simulation in house either through test course or in house test bench and prepare detail report to be submitted to BAL. Encourage improvement plan and organize meeting with the principal follow up with the principal till closure of the issue. Monitoring the effectiveness & consistency of the action in the field and closure of the issue. Weekly audit of the plant process mainly based on the field complaints & initiate action for the improvement. Customer Survey & Bench marking & CUFT (Self & Competition) Directly manage dedicated market survey and initiate bench marking study comparing self- product with competition and identify improvement areas. Preparation of directional presentations to BAL on all identified improvement areas. Should be expert in Driving to evaluate NVH (noise, vibrations and harshness). Will be leader of the CUFT activity manage the activity plan the route, rider, pattern in coordination with BAL and implement and monitor on daily basis. Report of the CUFT activity on agreed kms, days with BAL with all critical parameters captured. Vehicle Safety & Break down motoring Campaign Management (Risk analysis, Campaign opening till closure) Attend vehicles in case of product risk cases (safety related issues) Support after sales team for service campaign. Manage and monitor the improvement process with BAL team for closure of the issues. Receive the reports for the break down cases and initiate actions for the improvements Warranty Warranty data analysis. Monthly analysis of Job cards and PDI reports. Preparation of management presentations on fortnight/ Monthly basis. Central coordination for all top warranty complaints and follow up with BAL with al technical inputs and data for closure of top issues. Monitor after receipt of countermeasure with cut off chassis number. Localization Identify top parts for localization in coordination with Management and BAL Visit the source for technical evaluation and financial capability as per BAL vendor development process check sheet. Coordinate with BAL for component approval process.
