Job Description : PLANT MANAGER MALAYSIA The Plant Manager is responsible for leading the overall operation of the facility related to company policies and procedures, production, maintenance, quality, inventory, logistics, receiving, on-time delivery (OTD) and promotion of the culture of the company. Promote the company’s corporate culture and image by collaborating with associates and being involved in community events and organisations for the company Provide the facility with the local/regional vision, mission and objectives required to carry out in a manner consistent with company values and beliefs Partner with support organisations (e.g. human resources, finance, learning and development) to establish overall plant goals related to administrative and personnel aspects Direct and manage facility operations for production, maintenance, quality, inventory, logistics, etc., and accountable for the P&L of the plant Coordinate facility activities through the coordination with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner Be responsible for cost effective control over capital expenses, operating expenditures, and manpower Oversee the management, procurement, and disposition of all capital assets Establish clear targets for all critical plant performance metrics and monitor overall facility performance for production, quality and compliance standards Provide the management team and key personnel with the necessary leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives Incorporate shop floor organisation and facility cleanliness among department managers and associates To succeed in this role, you need have strong operations management and profit and loss (P&L) accountability experiences. Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 15 years of related work experience with a minimum of 10 years as a people manager Must have strong experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Principles Familiar with PCBA footprint and stencil designs, and process is desired Knowledge of mechanical design using 3D software is an advantage Printed circuit board manufacturing experience is desired but not required Technical expertise in manufacturing and production of connector industry is an advantage
