Supply Chain Manager

Job Description : Supply Chain Manager for a beverage manufacturer in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo Work Profile : 1. Develop and implement procurement strategy 2. Handle ordering process and finalize the orders for material 3. Negotiate with Vendors and secure best terms 4. Maintain complete purchase records 5. Explore and implement avenues for cost reduction 6. Examine and improvise existing supplier contracts 7. Track all procurements, import shipments 8. Liaise with clearing agents, statutory authorities, banks and other external agencies for on-time completion of import formalities 9. Cost reduction 10. Inter-departmental coordination 11. Risk analysis and risk management for supply contracts and agreements Skill Sets: a) Proven experience in Supply Chain Management b) Able to communicate effectively with management, suppliers and external agencies c) Knowledge of procurement techniques and dexterity to read the market d) Good knowledge of suppliers or third party managed information database e) Decision making skills and comfortable working with numbers f) Experience in data collection and analysis g) Strong leadership capabilities h) Knowledge in Polymer products, cosmetics, chemicals and food grade chemicals is a pre-requisite. Education Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration or any other equivalent
