Job Description : DIRECTOR S & OP UAE Director of S&OP to join a leading food and beverage manufacturer, based in the Middle East. As the Director of S&OP, you will be responsible for building an S&OP function from scratch, collating and consolidating critical data from Sales, Marketing, Finance and the Supply Chain to constantly advise the business on potential opportunities. You will need to have the experience, confidence and intelligence to analyse information to advise on relevant opportunities, risks that need to be mitigated and identify relevant gaps that will allow for the business to meet projected forecasts and subsequently organisational targets to be achieved to help drive sustainable profitable growth. To be considered, you must have a proven track record of developing S&OP strategy from scratch, for a leading FMCG. We need somebody who is driven and can effectively influence senior stakeholders to always put the business first! You must be comfortable operating at the executive table where you will need to influence whilst managing resistance professionally. Lead the S&OP function in identifying cost-saving and efficiency gains in order to benefit the company and its customers To coordinate activities with the forecast on issues relating to capacity and demand to ensure deviations from either forecast or production plan are managed in the most effective manner Manage the daily operations to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures Manage the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards Management of planning activities to ensure any issues are resolved efficiently and effectively, maintaining service level and working capital targets whilst supporting the achievement of production efficiency targets Ownership for the value of all stock levels, including raw materials and finished goods, ensuring that stock levels are correct, and that obsolescence is minimised Monitor the performance of the company’s procedures and KPI’s, taking action where appropriate Stimulate subordinates and manage the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the section in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude. Must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant, progressive experience Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant subject Experience within FMCG Proven track record of leading all aspects of planning and execution as part of a structured monthly S&OP cycle Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify business opportunities Passion, determination and a willingness to challenge Fluency in English is a must.
