Job Description : FINANCE CONTROLS DIRECTOR UAE one of the largest FMCG businesses in Abu Dhabi, are recruiting a Finance Controls Director for their leadership team. · Lead the month-end closing process for all group entities · Ensure that all accounting transactions are reported accurately in compliance with regulations · Implement and maintain effective accounting policies to ensure robust internal controls · Identify and evaluate the implications of potential risks to the organisation and subsequently formulate strategies to mitigate them · Oversee all local tax matters (VAT, Corporate tax) at a group level · Consistently keep up to date with all tax legislation and ensure that the organisation is compliant with them · Manage, train and develop a team of 5-6 direct reports · Formulate best practices to streamline business activities and foster a continuous development environment · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar discipline · Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA, CA, ACCA, ACA) · Minimum 10-15 years of experience within a similar role · Solid knowledge of IFRS and tax matters · Excellent communication skills
