Job Description : International Trading Manager for ASEAN market to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role is an excellent opportunity to take your career to the next level with PIL Group. ROLE SUMMARY: Main focus of the role will be to work closely with the various business units and customers to bring the needs of the customer to market in commercially viable product solutions. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Marketing and Trading of Palm Oil & Fats product produced by group of company. Handling export sales for South East Asia and China Market, negotiating the best price and terms. Ensure to achieve the volume & profit budgeted. Assist the trading department to liaise with other departments including risk, freight and documents to ensure smooth operation and execution of contract. Follow up on shipping/freight/documentation. Traveling and maintain good business relationship with customers. Develop existing and new customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Selling commodity products to the South East Asia markets/Entire World. Customer Strategy and Business Plan. Executes the Channel / customer business plan for his/her area. Build and maintain business relationship with customer’s decision makers. Ensure customer needs are clearly communicated to business units. Working in closely with development teams to introduce new products / new applications with customers. Guides and leads team of sales representative to open new customers. Support wider team with customer support on complaints and technical issues. Ensuring all the team members understand features and benefits of our entire product range, so product retention is high. Advisory role to highlight key benefits of our products and how they deliver on the needs of the customer and in so doing, add value. Help higher management work on overcoming objections for benefiting future negotiation strategy. Anticipate and protect the profit margin calculated against any sudden market drop. Implement and follow the packed oil department guidelines, processes, procedures that does not contradict with PORAM standards. Achieve the sales target planned for each year for each market in accordance to KPI. Prompt and accurate reporting on the oil status to the Senior Management. Understand department team work and goals. Ability to co-ordinate and understand the flow of work of relevant departments. Hire, train, manage, and evaluate new team members in the department on the departmental reporting requirement. Meet agreed KPI and create conducive working environment. Ensure monthly and timely reporting to the Senior Management on the progress on the departmental KPI. Provide critical operational information such as market trends, new development and critical factors and with recommendations to the Senior Management. Ensure that Group operations and especially packed oil department operations adhere to HSA Corporate Governance policies and PORAM standards. Ensure and maintain high ethical standards in the Company & Group. Follow the standard procedures for the achievement of the best results in the cooperation with other group factories members or teams’ members within the company. Ensure compliance of the BU with HSA Corporate and follow the standard packed oil department policies and processes. Selling at certain level of price. Negotiations. Choice of customers and facilities provided. Exploration of new markets and recommending products for the markets. Sales Target depending on agreed KPI. Market new products from specialty fats. Operation improvement and efficiency. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES: At least with 10 years’ experience in the international trading in Oil & Fats. Exposed into INCOTERMS and PORAM standards. Fair knowledge on all contract provided by PORAM. Sound knowledge in UCP “Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits”. Understand the complexity of the information related to the shipments, and the international trade laws, and how the information is affecting the shipments. Understands the banking procedures and requirements for processing any documents or payment. Knowledge of shipping laws and formalities, what are the necessary information to be provided for each shipments. Excellent command of English & Mandarin is a must. Excellent knowledge in costing. Experienced in preparing offers and contracts and protecting the company interest. Demonstrate exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and consistently high energy levels. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Minimum with Bachelor Degree in business administration, international business, international trade or a related field. This position will be based from our operation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
