Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : CFO UAE a governmental holding company set up to invest and establish a number of greenfield chemical projects across the region - is looking for a CFO to join the leadership team. Direct and lead the development and implementation of overall Finance & Investment strategy. Lead and oversee Finance operations, including accounting, treasury and liquidity management, financial reporting and risk management, ensuring that the objectives and business strategies are reflected in all processes. Ensure effective internal financial controls are in place, and that they are delivered in a professional and proactive manner in order to enable the profitable development and growth of the business and the achievement of objectives with the overall vision and mission. Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic plans with the objective of optimizing efficiency, minimizing costs while establishing internal control procedures that safeguard the assets of the Company, and ensure that all financial transactions comply with the standards, statutory requirements and policies and that accurate financial information is available to support management decision-making. Bachelor Degree in Finance and/or Accounting. Preference for Master’s degree in finance or equivalent. 15 years of experience finance, treasury and accounting functions, including 8 years in a senior supervisory/managerial position. Experience within the petrochemical sector is a must (ideally downstream) Experience in efficient external stakeholder management is required. Experience in working with banks and/or lenders to secure complex funding solutions. Subject matter expertise in accounting principles, budget and control, investment management, risk analysis etc. Strong understanding of statutory, legal, financial policies and regulations preferred. ACMA, CPA, CA, CIMA, CFA or ACCA (at least one certification preferable).
