Senior Commercial Director

Job Description : SENIOR COMMERCIAL MANAGER NEW ZEALAND The Senior Commercial Manager will be responsible for a specific portfolio of services and the key vendors for that service area and be the single point of commercial accountability for that service area Senior Commercial Manager and major vendors. You will provide specialist industry knowledge in Procurement, Vendor and Contract Management to support NZ Post business in pursuit of their desired outcomes and in accordance with the organisation’s processes for procurement and approval. Develop commercial strategies to optimise vendor selection - strategic vendors versus niche vendors Manage RFI / RFPs for major services in accordance with NZ Post policy Develop and own a commercial plan in conjunction with business owner and architects that supports the services and key vendors – including where the vendor sits in the vendor lifecycle Contract management experience of complex multi-$M accounts Lead major contract renewals, including board, executive and leadership team presentations where appropriate 10 years in a commercial management/procurement role in large corporate environment Experience in a multi supplier environment Financial modelling, forecasting & reporting experience Contract and performance management experience of complex multi-$M accounts Demonstrated experience of complex analysis, assessment and delivery of appropriate recommendations Previous experience negotiating major corporate indirect/technology multi-$M contracts in a corporate environment.
