Group Business Controller

Job Description : GROUP BUSINESS CONTROLLER HOLLAND Group Business Controller for Van Leeuwen Buizen Groep. The head office is located in Zwijndrecht and from your position you work closely with the financial directors in the various regions. You are responsible in the team for the group business controlling tasks in which you work closely with colleagues at the head office, local finance teams and business stakeholders. You create new insights, evaluate company presentations, and monitor internal controls to realize the Van Leeuwen strategy. You also take care of the preparation and you participate in the periodic review meetings with local management - and you are an important sounding board for the Executive Board members during the shareholders' meeting. Additionally: You supervise the structure of an effective planning and control of the business processes; You provide strategic, tactical and operational advice to the Finance Directors in the different countries/locations – each country/location has its own challenges; You translate the multi-year plan into budgets and concrete objectives, coordinate these with the budget manager and keep forecasts up to date; You have a certain degree of influence on decision-making by presenting valuable business cases, scenarios, etc.; You have insight into relevant developments within those regions, identify them and initiate appropriate actions; You usually help improve the control framework and optimize/broaden the reports. As a Group Business Controller you have strong communication skills and the ability to influence and direct decisions, in order to contribute to the optimization and growth strategy. You are a real team player, flexible and pragmatic in your approach. You also have: HBO or University diploma / RC is an advantage (finance or economics related); Minimum 20 years experience of which 3 years relevant experience in a business controlling position; Fluent spoken and written English (Dutch is an advantage).
