Senior Engineering Director

Job Description : SENIOR ENGINGEERING DIRECTOR SINGAPORE A leading medical technology company is seeking a Senior Engineering Director to ensure the engineering operations and ensure that proper engineering procedures are followed. Also play an active role in the development and completion of projects, meet and report back to upper management, plan and monitor work schedules and cash flows, and work with multiple and diverse teams. In this Operations Manager position, you will be responsible for leading teams of highly specialised individuals to drive the implementation of advanced manufacturing technology and digital transformation toward a globally developed strategy for the "Smart Factory" in Singapore. Coordinate and support commercialisation strategies for new (advanced) processes and digital platforms Provide leadership and oversight for all the advanced manufacturing, technology, and digital transformation activities, including creating a vision, multi-year strategies, and operating model Drive innovation from ideation to realisation for process improvements, including definition and deployment of technology roadmaps, justification, and funding of projects, and development implementation plans Be responsible for the financial justifications for capital appropriations (CAPEX) related to manufacturing technology investments within the Singapore facility including capital planning, etc. Drive a value stream mindset and culture of continuous improvement based on Lean and Six Sigma principles Manage resource planning, project planning, budgeting, expense priorities, performance management, and working through team managers to achieve results Lead and coordinate with global and local cross-functional project groups to develop and provide product and process design recommendations Drives the transition into a digital and automated factory by leading the digital and automation portfolio of projects (Industry 4.0) Conduct business and technical briefings for senior and top management and for external representatives To succeed in this Senior Engineering Director role, you will need to have strong interpersonal communication skills. Along with a high level of management skills to oversee the project and be committed to achieving efficient and safe operation in line with the company’s high level of technical standards. Degree in electrical/electronic/mechatronics engineering or equivalent At least 10 years of experience in technical, engineering, quality, and/or manufacturing leadership roles Proven successful complex project management leadership skills Excellent problem-solving, organisational, analytical, and critical thinking skills Excellent project management and coordination skills Excellent problem-solving skills Good communication skills Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations Provide leadership and direction to large cross-functional teams
