15 yearsJob Description : QA MANAGER FOOD MANUFACTURING USA Eestabished Quality Manager for leading food manufacturers operating out of their flagship highly automated site. The business has invested significantly in recent years and can boast one of the most advanced sites with major future potential. They are looking for a Quality Manager, who is a collaborative leader and is driven to achieve compliant high-quality standards, processes, and systems in food manufacturing. This fast-paced exciting role reports to the Head of Quality and Environment and is responsible for leading, driving, managing, and delivering quality assurance systems, programs and initiatives to achieve successful business outcomes and compliance to the Food Safety and Quality Systems for all products. Alongside running the daily and periodic GMP audits and ensuring quality compliance from concept to launch, our Quality Manager should be able to provide leadership and mentoring to quality management team whilst promoting effective working relationships. Leading the quality function on site to ensure that products and processes comply with documented requirements, systems and specifications. Lead, facilitate and/or support continuous improvement efforts using Lean, DMAIC, Kaizen, Six Sigma (preferred) methodologies. Perform and support the development of problem-solving techniques with manufacturing functions to develop corrective actions for quality issues and to initiate continuous improvement. Report Quality metrics and trends routinely utilising analysis tools (i.e. Pareto) to determine quality performance. Provide coaching and mentoring for the quality team, taking responsibility for the teams performance management and development. Execute regular coaching sessions with direct report/s to leverage potential and improve performance. Identifying, developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with the site's operational plan. Championing Health & Safety and food safety cultures to drive GMP and ensure safe working practices are implemented. Collaborating with all stakeholders to improve performance of the lines, with a key focus on quality and costs. Minimum 15 years' experience in managerial or supervisory role in high volume preferably food manufacturing industry Degree qualifications in Food Technology, Science, Engineering or other relevant areas Leadership experience - you lead from the front, are influential when driving change & inspire your team daily! Proven experience with lean manufacturing methodologies (Lean - Six Sigma certification - at least yellow belt preferred) Excellent communication and rapport building skills with your team and stakeholders Passion for data and metrics - you naturally interpret data and use findings to support decision making Accountability - you own your decisions and can be counted on to do what you say you will!
