Job Description : SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER UAE Senior Finance Manager for a reputed Plastics Manufacturing company headquartered in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have led Finance Operations within a manufacturing setting for multiple business units in the region and must be a qualified Chartered or Cost Accountant. Lead, direct and manage the day to day financial activities of the company through the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, overseeing the financial planning, budgeting and reporting, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards. Supporting the management in analyzing performance, working on action plans and providing advice on long term and strategic plans of the company. Work closely with the GM for effective decision making to maximise returns on investment, minimise tax incidence through proper due diligence, mitigate internal/ external risks and maximise the company’s overall profitability Develop the Finance strategy, ensuring that it is in line with the company’s overall strategic direction. Lead the development of financial policies and procedures and ensure implementation of departmental policies, systems and procedures. Develop risk management strategies and processes to reduce and mitigate the financial risks and uncertainties the company is exposed to due to its business. Manage preparation and approval of the annual budgets, business plans and forecast of the company, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic objectives of the company. Ensure adequate internal controls are exercised over capital and revenue expenditure and all purchases and payments, in accordance with company procedures and within specified authority limits. Develop KPI’s for business performance trends to develop & implement strategies to improve them Analyse Cash flow, cost controls & expenses to support the GM Develop, implement and maintain budget templates and the annual budget calendar for the company, after obtaining approval from the General Manager. Ensure timely preparation of periodical financial reports, financial statements, cash flow statements, etc., to provide information on business performance to management. Manage the monthly and yearly closing activities and the preparation of all required annual financial reports. Guide and support feasibility studies of potential business development opportunities and other ad-hoc projects being considered by the company and provide financial information and advice. Develop, implement and seek continuous improvement of financial control systems and reporting frameworks, whilst ensuring the smooth operation of the business Monitor the day-to-day accounting function in terms of Accounts Payables, Receivables and General Ledger maintaining financial control and ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards. Manage the cost accounting function of the company to ensure profitability, and also advise inputs as needed for commercial matters. Identify funding requirements; negotiate terms with financial service providers to ensure optimal cash flow availability and avoid any other financial risks. Manage the cash and bank ledgers ensuring accuracy and completeness to manage the organization’s liquidity and cash-flow. Monitor/Manage bank agreements / Mandates and fee structure with banks and maintain long-term business relationships to ensure that Precision receives the most preferential rates. Manage internal and external audit for the company, ensuring auditors have all information and clarifications required to complete an accurate audit. Manage implementation of audit findings and recommendations relating to financial recording / reporting to ensure compliance. Lead financial and risk analysis of potential investments and key projects in order to facilitate better decision-making. Ensure appropriate insurance cover is implemented across all areas of Precision in order to protect organization’s assets. Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements as specified in the global QHSE Management System with strict adherence to ISO and local regulatory authority. Ensure that all records and documents are up to date, true & correct and have full traceability at all times and that all processes, procedures & activities meet and match those laid down under company ISO and management procedures. Liaise with the shareholder teams for periodic financial reporting and analysis requirements. Ensure full tax compliance. Professionally qualified Chartered Accountant or/and Cost Accountant MBA in Finance management would be an advantage Should have at least 15 years’ experience in manufacturing and / or similar business environment (packaging) that involves cost control & analysis, product costing, financial forecasting & budgetary control. Hands-on experience in short & long-term funding management / control, internal audits /control. ERP experience required; experience with Oracle would be an advantage. Knowledge of Financial & Tax Regulations. Budgeting and Fiscal Management skills. Financial reporting and presenting necessary statistics. Strategic Agility.
