IT Audit Head

Job Description : HEAD IT ADUTI MALAYSIA An exciting Head, IT Audit job has just been made available at a financial service company based in Malaysia. Your main responsibility will be to develop and implement audit strategies to cover all IT related activities. You will provide assistance in IT Audit directory and identify IT related risks and controls and ensure adequate coverage using their methodology. Assist the Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) in developing and implementing IT audit strategies for the corporation Assist the CIA in identifying IT auditable areas to be incorporated into the IAD plan Ensure IT audit activities are carried out in accordance with IAD methodology Assist the CIA in reporting state of IT controls and governance within the corporation Assist the CIA in other IAD related work when required Ensure timely issuance of draft audit reports for final issuance Undertake any other work required by the management with the approval of the CIA Continuously review and seek improvements to work practices with a view to improve Effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of IT activities within staff Assist the CIA in development of IT audit resources and training needs Conduct formal performance appraisals for IT audit staff and address staff personnel matters as directed by the CIA Keep abreast of the evolution of technology used in the corporation and be knowledgeable in professional matters in IT auditing areas including IT controls and audit techniques. Assess and recommend appropriation actions on effects of these development and changes. To succeed in this Head, IT Audit role, you will need to be a high-potential and motivated individual who goes the extra mile to make a difference while working closely with the business and be responsible for design, development and delivery. At least a good bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT or MIS or equivalen Engage in professional development activities, including completion of a professional certification programmes CISA/CIA/ISMS Lead Auditor professional certification is an advantage At least 8 years of work experience in managing IT internal audit assignments. Related experience in large audit/consultation firms or financial services is a plus Sound knowledge of IT related matters and accounting principles Experience in ISMS, COBIT, PCI DSS or any other audit framework is an added advantage Familiarity with ACL
