Strategic Procurement Head

Job Description : Head of Strategic Purchasing role has just become available at one of the largest machine manufacturers SWITZERLAND is one of the largest construction machine manufacturers in the world. It is also among the leading providers of technology in many. • You are responsible to lead a team of Strategic Purchasers • You are responsible for the development of components from the prototype phase to the production of validated initial samples • You ensure the development of suppliers and carry out potential analyses according to VDA 6.3 • You carry out market studies and develop supplier and product family strategies • You negotiate prices for existing and future contracts • You are responsible for monitoring savings and budgets as well as for material group strategies, LOB analyses, costs and make-or-buy projects • You contribute to projects and manage the follow-up of the different activities related to purchasing (RFP-RFQ - price book maintenance - and allocation of new parts) You are responsible for risk management in relation to suppliers To succeed in the role of Head of Strategic Purchasing you have several years of professional experience in various areas of strategic purchasing or in a comparable industry such as mechanical or automotive engineering and have an excellent knowledge of at least 2 of the following languages: German, French and English Key Requirements: • You have a university degree in industrial engineering, economics, purchasing or an education deemed to be equivalent • You have experience in leading teams • You already have experience in production and planning, tracking KPIs and as a key user • You are proficient in MS Office, MS SharePoint and you have good knowledge of ERP systems You are self-reliant, a strong leader, committed, flexible and a team player
