Job Description : Business Manager: Projects and Marketing Strategy Reports to: CEO / Director Location: Lusaka (ZAMBIA) Terms: Full time Contract, permanent Overall Purpose: - Act as single point of information and execution tracking to facilitate fast decision making at top executive level. - Establish creative marketing and communication strategies, plans and approaches to help Business in positioning TK BRANDs to maintain segment leadership and enhance portfolio imagery across consumers (Local+Export markets). Key Responsibilities: - Follow up with key leadership across group companies to ensure ON TIME delivery of Projects and Business decisions (Strategic as well as tactical) - Maintain confidentiality with management feedback and decision-making pointers, and exercise discretion when interfacing with the business - Schedule communications and hold project reviews, in case of Top executives' availability (review timelines not to be physical presence dependent) - Developing and enforcing Trackers to facilitate Alerts of Timelines and responsibilities, in case of shift/change in delivery due to internal/External factors. - Managing the executive's Priority List and schedules, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters - Plan marketing and communications strategies for specific areas of the Group BRAND's. Work with the communication, programmed and senior management teams to put the strategy into practice. This will include: - Finalize creative communication and marketing products - presentations, briefings, etc. that will maximize brand message, support programmed objectives and contribute to the research sector. - Plan and implement direct marketing approaches including targeting, personalization of messages and measurability, data analysis, customer profiling and segmentation - Develop and oversee a strategic programmed of activities and events for the group companies - Ensure the brand meets expectations through monitoring marketing trends, partner, and stakeholder's feedback. - Builds and maintains solid partnerships with assigned internal clients to develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet business goals. - Works with leadership to take the pulse of overall business activity to identify cross-marketing opportunities - Directs in-house and external graphic designers, photographers, and other media-production specialists integral to the completion of marketing projects. - Identifies and presents opportunities for consistency in messaging and customer experience across channels from in-store signage to digital to print. - Researches and understands key business challenges, customer behavior, target audiences, competitive activity, and environmental factors that impacts programs within the business and assigned departments. - Manage, with the communication officers, mailing lists on behalf of BRAND and work closely with the various functions to ensure seamless execution across the group companies - Manage the Marketing & Communications budget and ensure programmed milestones related to marketing & communications are achieved on time and within budget. - Contribute to and strengthen marketing proposals and reports to ensure robust and creative marketing and communication considerations are adopted. - Represent BRAND at external meetings and conferences. - Act as the first point of contact for organization and the Executive Director with regard to TK Group's communications. Person Specification: - Post graduate Degree (preferably in project management and Marketing Communications) - Min 2 years Hands on Project management experience (Project management certification will have advantage) - Min 15+years of marketing management experience in FMCG domain (Africa experience preferable) - Have an excellent understanding of how to use Project management ,marketing tools and analytical techniques to assist the top management in effective decision making - Sound understanding of Media and the impact digital technology is having on communications and collaboration. - Experience of engaging key leadership across group companies to ensure ON TIME delivery of Projects and Business decisions(Strategic as well as tactical) - Strong management and leadership skills demonstrated by evidence of leading high performing teams that contribute to organizational objectives and show resilience in the face of changing priorities. - A strategic and creative thinker with proven experience of working on diverse and wide-ranging communication strategies including all forms of media (Digital+Analog) - Experience of developing and managing strong and complex relationships across programmes as part of a centralised function and externally with multiple stakeholders. - Experience of measuring the impact of communications campaigns - Excellent project management skills - Experience of representing organization at external platforms.
