Job Description : CEO METALS AND MINING NIGERIA Leadership role, looking for candidates with 20+ years of experience and a minimum of 5+ year as a CEO Responsibilities: Works with senior executives on setting up annual budgeting and long term business plans clearly agreeing on production, sales, operating cost & profits, margins, capital expenditure plans and human resource requirements. b. Reporting to the Group CEO in creating, growing and building a world class organization with main focus on: i. Handling complete operational responsibilities of all the verticals of the Company and setting up business strategies and policies for all profit centre heads ii. Disaggregating the monthly / annual budgets into setting up division targets for all profit centre heads towards growth, performance, productivity and profitability. iii. Establishing a process of review of the operations and financial performance to improve the efficiency of the units of the Company iv. Day to Day Operational Excellence in operations, administration, sales & marketing and human resource with unit heads v. Guiding all heads in implementing the best manufacturing practices for superior production parameters and minimal downtime because of machinery breakdown. vi. Implementing a drive towards an ERP based approach in the organisation for production, material and procurement vii. Ensuring all necessary health and safety standards are in place and the unit heads follow a target of zero injury goals in their units. Assist in driving Company's results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with key executive team members. Lead the team: i. To achieve favourable financial results with respect to sales, profitability & cash flow, systems, reporting and controls. ii. To drive the expansion plans - identifying right technology and process, new line of business, product development in the aluminium and allied sector. iii. To identify acquisition targets for inorganic growth of the Company in West Africa. iv. To forge strategic partnership and relationships with domestic scrap suppliers, foreign raw material & imported finished goods suppliers, customers of various finished products, vendors and all other professional business relationship. to foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines. - Provide accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the Company to the Group CEO and the board of directors. Qualifications & Experience: 1. Techno-Commercial Candidate with Degree in Mechanical/Electrical / Metallurgy Engineering from a reputed Institute. Additional Post Graduate Management qualifications as MBA or Industrial Engineering will be added advantage. 2. Minimum of 20-25 + years of experience in operations with prior experience of atleast 15 years a. Must be involved in the projects during early stages in his career demonstrating the engineering experience) b. Must be at leadership position at the organisation or unit level for atleast 5 years 3. Proven track-record in operational excellence, strategic planning and product development experience. 4. Strong leadership and organizational skills. 5. Commercially astute, good problem solving skills and out of the box thinking 6. Previous experience in Nigeria / Africa will be added advantage.
