15 yearsJob Description : MD PACKAGING UAE The role is responsible for leading and managing all strategic and operational activities to develop & grow the business. This includes planning and implementing short-, medium- and long-term business strategy while ensuring that the company is run in the most efficient and effective manner to achieve desired market share growth and profitability. Hold full P&L responsibility for the business and be responsible for leading the business development and sales, manufacturing and Engineering functions as well as all other functions including Quality, HS&E, Commercial, HR & Finance to ensure business success. Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy and plans in co-ordination with the management team. Lead and direct for the implementation of appropriate strategies and execution of agreed business plan to achieve the projected growth, geographical expansion and diversification of businesses. Lead and drive business that guarantees profitable returns on capital employed. Lead integrating of risk concepts into strategic planning, and risk identification and mitigation activities. Review the Company’s expansion and commercial opportunities and its impact on operating functions, to plan a pro-active response mechanism to enable achievement of critical components of execution / commissioning of new and future projects. Develop and implement annual budgets and business plans, incorporating capital revenue & expenditure budgets designed to guide & support the achievement of the Company’s growth, profitability and return on investment. Provide leadership and direction in the implementation of appropriate strategies and execution of agreed business plan to achieve the projected growth, expansion and diversification of the Company’s businesses. Capitalize on business opportunities and expansion strategies by analyzing the market/economy. Build sufficient operational and human capital to continuously expand the business market share in relevant/ potential segment of Industry, adopt best practices built on key risk management practices, to increase profitability and promote the company image in UAE and GCC market. Institute regular reporting & review mechanisms to monitor business performance and initiate suitable interventions when performance parameters are not met. Advise the Board on all aspects of the business activities and its performance. Develop and implement forward-thinking initiatives to accomplish operational objectives, which may include financial management, human capital management, organizational restructuring, process re-engineering and technological enhancements, adaptable to changing business and regulatory environments. Ensure that all records and documents are up to date, always true and correct and have full traceability and that all processes, procedures & activities meet and match those laid down under company ISO and management procedures. Develop and drive realistic sales forecasts and ensure consistent order intake. Lead, build and maintain positive relationships with key customers Pro-actively support business development across the UAE and broader GCC Region Ownership of all operational activities, including full P&L responsibility with regular reporting Manage company employees in line with local laws and regulations Take ultimate responsibility for appropriate staffing of appropriate resources, along with functional managers Setting challenging objectives, delegate to and manage direct reports and their respective teams to achieve said objectives Lead, coach and support the individual and collective development of the team through leadership, coaching and creating the managerial culture and climate to meet challenging but achievable goals and objectives. Prepare performance evaluation and appraisal reports of direct reports to assess subordinates’ productivity and progress and identify training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices. Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work and ensure that they are continuously developed for growth. Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements as specified in the global QHSE Management System with strict adherence to ISO and local regulatory authority. Bachelor’s Degree in engineering. An MBA or equivalent qualification would be advantageous 15+years’ experience in the manufacturing industry preferably with 8-10 years in a business head/leadership role. Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes Prior management experience in a manufacturing operation/environment in the Middle East region would be a strong advantage Excellent communication and people management skills. Demonstrates/has learning agility. Well networked & connects well to build strategic alliances. Skilled in negotiating, closing, prospecting, and presentation skills. Assertive, takes charge and makes decisions. Strong commercial and financial acumen
