Job Description : Head of Contract – Purchase INDIA Commercial port and storage terminal Qualification: B.E./B. Tech– Mechanical Engg Years of Experience: 20 to 25 years out of which 4-5 years as Head of Contract & Purchase and Stores dept. Job Location: Dahej, Bharuch Job Description: · To ensure availability of proper quality material at required time and at right price. · Monitor suppliers’ performance, ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, and drive improvement · Play an active role in driving customer service with an emphasis on service improvement and process · Plan time and resources to ensure that demand is met and exceptional customer service is provided · To ensure adherence to well defined SOP · To suggest changes required to be adopted for improvement of system · Optimization of purchase requisition to purchase order time period a. Necessary follow-up/coordination with various departments/suppliers for end result. b. Timely finalization of AMC/ARC. · To carry out negotiation with vendors/contractors for required services / materials. · Adherence to SOP for receipt, issue , rejected material & other activities at stores · Frequently verify stock in stores. · Keep proper record of the scrap and dispose-off as per the guidelines. · Coordinate with Auditors and comply of their suggestions. · Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, deliver management information, ensure data quality and appropriately communicate information
