10 yearsJob Description : PRODUCTION MANAGER NIGERIA · Implement effective employee performance appraisal. · Check production output according to specification. · Evaluate production capacity, effectively control production cost, and schedule. · Create a production schedule. · Schedule regular maintenance for equipment. · Handling of Packaging Machinery, Industrial Utilities like generators, compressors, chillers, boilers and electrical installations. · Discuss budget expectations with the management. · Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations · Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines Determine number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) · Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc. · Ensure output meets quality standards · Enforce health and safety precautions · Report to upper management. · Manage the smooth and efficient manufacturing of goods. · Collaborate with management to understand objectives and requirements. · Regularly prepare budgets and cost reports for production. · Divide responsibilities and tasks across the team to make production more efficient. · Resolve any problem that occurs. · Conduct regular inspections of machinery, workers and the units. · Overseeing that the inventory is maintained of all the equipment and resources and ensure that they are stocked. · Approve regular maintenance work. · Sanction purchasing of equipment. · Uphold the policies and standards of the company. · Submit daily/weekly/monthly production report. · Identify issues in production efficiency and suggest ways of improvement. · Set daily/weekly/monthly production objectives and communicate this to production staff. · Proven experience as production Manager. · Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations · Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts · Experience in reporting on key production metrics. · Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology or any related science course. · A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role, · Experience in an operations role will be a key advantage. · Should be experienced in the field of Production Planning, Maintenance, Vendor Management, Staff Training and Quality Control. · In-depth knowledge of production management, risk management, and safety regulations. · Good oral and written communication skills · Time management. · Attention to detail. · Interpersonal, Self-Management and Leadership skills · Strong sense of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment. ·?Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect trade secret · Comprehensive health insurance, pay ?USD 2,500-3,000.
